Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The BIG 5 - 0

"Where did these balloons come from? Look, I can almost touch one!"

"I feel the need to write this with my chalk... wanna help me, Bailey?"

"It's the same number that we saw in the balloons at the park!"

"Sky!"

Bailey sees a hot air balloon high in the sky... and that number is showing up again... hmmm...

Oh yeah... Now we know why it stands out...

Wow... 50 years together! You two are an inspiration!

We wish you many more enjoyable years together! :)

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Rejoice!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4.

We have good reason to rejoice at Easter time... it's a reminder that Jesus has risen. To learn more about this, click here. The most important decision any of us will ever make is deciding to accept Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior. To find out why and how to do so, click here. Don't put it off, do it today!

When it comes to my girls, the Easter Bunny still exists. I'm not sure what age they outgrow this. I'm hoping one day to explain what Easter really means... it's so very important. We did the typical things for Easter... colored eggs, put out Easter baskets, had an egg hunt. It was mostly low-key due to my getting over a stomach virus and Michael's dad going into the hospital. He's all better now and at home. :) Here are a few pics from Easter Sunday...

Caitie made this egg for me; she put a 'mom' sticker on it. She made one for her daddy and one for her sister too; we did twelve eggs in all. We colored the eggs the night before Easter Sunday.

Bailey is fascinated by all the colorful eggs.

I put only one plastic egg on the kitchen table for Caitie to find on Easter morning; we usually have their Easter baskets on the table. She came and woke us up early... she couldn't wait to get downstairs to see what the Easter Bunny brought her and Bailey. She looked a bit disappointed when she saw only one plastic egg sitting on the table. Then she noticed a piece of paper coming out of it that said "Open"... so she did. This started a hunt for the Easter baskets. Here she is out back... she found one of the plastic eggs along the 'bunny trail'... this led her to the next plastic egg with info on where to go next, and so on...

Here she's reading the note she found inside the plastic egg telling her where to go next.

After following the 'bunny trail', which was five plastic eggs with notes, she ended up in the living room... at the piano... where the Easter baskets were.

After going through their Easter baskets, the girls went on an egg hunt. Bailey found an egg...

Caitie found most of the eggs. They had candy inside.

This was one of the things in Caitie's Easter basket. I wanted something in it to remind her of what Easter is really all about; she's still too young to understand it all though.

She put all the colorful pieces on the cross... it says "Rejoice".

She got some sidewalk chalk as well...

They both enjoyed playing with the colorful chalk.

They got other items as well, the usual bunnies, candy, etc... but what they seemed to enjoy the most were the bubbles. Caitie's enjoying 'em...

And so is Bailey...

She tried her best to blow some... she came close one time, but she still needs a little practice. :)

Happy Tears

Have you seen this commercial on TV? I love it! So I looked for it on YouTube, and here it is. This is how Caitie usually greets her daddy when he comes home from work, minus the crying, she usually has a big smile on her face instead. But if he were gone for a long period of time like the father in this video, and then surprised her when returning home, I'm sure she would have the same reaction as this little girl did. So precious. Let's all remember to pray for the safety of our soldiers here at home and around the world, and pray for their families as well; they do a lot for our country. (this is a shortened version of the commercial shown on tv. click on the 'play' button below to view the short video clip)

Did you have a hard time holding back the tears? Me too. :)
