Thanks for watching

See how I put "Thanks" in the subject line?  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so I put "Thanks".  The "for watching" part is because there are videos to watch below.  Pretty clever, eh? (ahem)  Movin' on now...

If you happen to stop by my blog tomorrow, here are three videos for you to watch when taking a break from all the turkey, stuffing, pies, football, political arguments discussions, etc.  Of course you can still watch them after Thanksgiving as well.  :)

Click on the 'play' button below to watch a short video of Bailey bein' silly on the bra aisle at Walmart:

Click the 'play' button below to watch a video of Caitie and Bailey pretending to be two old ladies on the craft aisle at Walmart.  It starts off a little slow, but starts getting funny about halfway through.  You need to listen closely because it's hard to hear what they're saying sometimes (bailey says "get over here sonny" a lot, and caitie says "life alert" a couple of times; they're just bein' silly, of course).  Pay attention to the end of the aisle about mid-video for a Walmart employee who does a double-take of the crazy antics goin' on:

I couldn't forget to add something Thanksgiving related, so here's a short video clip of a reenactment of the 'football fail' scene from the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving cartoon.  Click the 'play' button below to view the short video:

I hope you enjoyed the videos.  Happy Thanksgiving!  :)

You're Hired!

If you ever watched Donald Trump's show, The Apprentice, you understand the post title.

There wasn't much of a choice for President this time around, in my opinion, but I feel Trump is the better choice. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised with him as President.

Here are a few pics from Election Tuesday...

We voted at a fire station nearby. We waited until the girls were out of school and Michael got off work to vote. The girls wanted to go with us. I got a quick pic of the girls waaaay outside the building. ha You have to be at least 75 feet away before taking pics.

They then crossed the street and I took another pic. They got voting stickers, which they proudly displayed on their shirts.

After voting we went out to dinner at Macayo's. Michael was too nervous to sit and watch the election coverage at home, so we decided eating out was best. But he ended up watching it via his smart phone while at the restaurant. ha He and Caitie enjoyed watching it. (just in case you're wondering... bailey's holding one of two coloring pages the server handed the girls to color while waiting for our dinner to arrive)

I took this pic after we got home from dinner. I was thinking positively and had the girls give a 'thumbs up' for Donald Trump being the new President.

They were happy he was in the lead.

Bailey had 'share bag' at the time, so I thought taking our sample ballot was a good choice since it was election time. It was a hit in class. Caitie did the 'share bag' when she was in Kindergarten as well. 'Share bag' is when you take something interesting and educational to class to share with everyone. It has to fit in the share bag, and it can't be shown until three clues are given and children guess at what it is, then it's revealed and it's discussed. The kids love it.

Michael and I stayed up until Donald Trump was announced as the next President. We watched his victory speech and then headed to bed. Michael slept really good that night, and the next morning the birds were singing, and all was right with the world again. ha He actually has been more cheerful lately. It's interesting what a good ol' election can do for a person's outlook on life.

Gotta love how they coordinated the red, white and blue ties for his victory speech. ha Congratulations, President-Elect Trump! :)

I'm still trying to get caught up on blogging. I believe I'm up to the summer of 2015... that post will be coming soon.
