Bright and Cheery

Here are some pics of Caitie in her cute yellow dress. I think she looks good in yellow; it's so bright and cheery, which describes Caitie's personality... 50% of the time. ha As you can see in the post below, I got her the same dress in a bright green color as well; gotta love those bright, cheerful colors.

First Ponytail

I enjoy playing with Caitie's hair. She's not too crazy about it, and lets me know by taking barrettes out not too long after I put them in; it can be most frustrating at times. When she takes them out, some of her hair comes out with them, and with her having thin, fine hair, that's not a good thing. I use barrettes to help keep her hair out of her face, and also use them to do her pig tails and ponytail; barrettes are best to use on her 'tails' since her hair is so fine. Here are a few pics of Caitie with her first ponytail, of which I kept having to do over and over again... sigh...

A Day at the Zoo

We went to the zoo on Sunday and had a really nice time. The weather was wonderful; it was in the low 70's and overcast most of the time. It was pretty crowded, but not so much that we couldn't get around easily, and we didn't even have to push people out of the way so we could get a good view of the animals. ha We had Caitie in the stroller most of the time, but she insisted on getting out occasionally to run around; she took a tumble, but she's fine. We enjoyed the Ram exhibit the most. We bought some kettle corn and while eating it, a Ram came up near the railing hoping some would slip through my fingers, of which I nonchalantly let some fall to the ground below, hoping no one around saw me. ha I'm not sure that was the best thing to do, but the Ram seemed to enjoy it, and other Rams came over as well. I don't remember the proper name of the animal, so Ram will have to suffice.

When we first entered the zoo, we went straight over to the giraffe exhibit. We didn't get to see them the last time we were there, which was last September. I guess they went 'indoors' due to the heat, or maybe it was naptime(ha), not sure.

She went running...



And started to take a tumble. A woman that worked at the zoo came riding by on her bike and made a comment about it, of which Caitie took offense to. The woman didn't mean to upset her; I think she was trying to compliment her on being able to balance herself and recover from the fall, but Caitie was still upset and started to cry. That lasted for about ten seconds and then we were on our way to the next animal exhibit.



A nice ending to a lovely day at the zoo.

Just wondering...

A mom's fashion faux pas?

Caitie looks good in most anything, even in this brown dress. If only I had tied the bow in the back instead of the front of the dress. Is this what one calls a fashion faux pas? Ah well, just add this to the list of my many other faux pas. ha But there is an explanation, really there is... The bow was tied in the front when I bought it. It looked like it came that way, not like someone decided to try it on their child and left it that way, so I thought that was how it was supposed to be tied. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. ha

Little Hiker

It was a rainy day (last Friday), but that didn't stop us from visiting the mountain park. We have a motto similar to the mail carrier's motto... Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail, will keep us from hiking on our trail. ha
