We got the girls a submarine kiddie pool the other day; it was on sale at Target. We were thinking about getting an Intex pool that was on sale at Walmart, it was a decent size, around 15' x 48", I believe, but after figuring out all the work involved in getting it to fit in the back yard, and the yard being on an incline, and having to dig up pretty green grass, and summer being almost over, we decided against it; we're going to wait until next summer. The downside to that is the pool won't be on sale anymore; it wasn't much of a savings anyway, so I guess it's no big deal. I kinda wish we went ahead and bought it, especially after running around on a hot day like today... it would have been nice to just open the back door and jump into a big pool of clean, chlorinated, cool water.
We got Caitie a cute pair of pink goggles to wear in the submarine pool. She wore them the one time, and that was it; they seem to be too far apart, and she kept saying things were blurry while wearing them, and she said her head hurt a while later. At least I got her pic in the goggles before she stopped wearing them... too cute...

Bailey enjoyed the pool too. I put her in a swimming diaper; I'm not sure it did much good, she ended up having a major poopin' explosion while in the pool... it ended up bein' quite messy! All three of us had to end up taking showers, and I gave Bailey a bath, right after due to smelling like poop. I had stepped in the pool a time or two, and Michael held Bailey while Caitie shot me with the cannon sprinkler that's attached to the pool, that's how we all ended up smelling like poop. Bailey is doing much better as far as poopin' goes... we've been putting Miralax in her bottle once a day for a while now, per doctor's orders, and it's made poopin' so much easier for her; no more red bottom, thank goodness. Have you had enough of the words poop and poopin'? I think it's time to move on now...

It was getting dark, but the girls didn't care, they could have played in the pool all night. Caitie was really into the submarine theme... and Bailey just loved bein' in the water. It was a fun, memorable, albeit 'messy', evening.
