2014

Yeah, yeah, I know it's now 2015, but as far as my blog goes, it's still in 2014. I have many posts yet to do for 2014, and here is one of them. This goes way back to the beginning of last summer when we put up the swimming pool. (this is just the kind of post you want to see in the middle of winter. ha)

Here is the day the pool went up... we put it up at the beginning of June 2014...

The girls like to get in the pool as it's being filled with water. I didn't realize it at the time, but I got their daddy in the pic as well. Can you find him? Here's a hint... he reminds me of Indiana Jones in this pic. ha

I took Caitie to swimming lessons at the beginning of summer. It was more for a refresher course to make sure she remembered everything from the year before and to get over her fear of going under water. I signed her up for private lessons again; she seems to get much more out of one-on-one time with the instructor than she did in a group setting.

Bailey enjoyed dancing around the water misters in the area while waiting for Caitie. I plan on signing Bailey up for swimming lessons this coming summer. I'm starting her a couple of years earlier than I did Caitie.

Here is Caitie with her swimming instructor Justin. She learned a lot and got over her fear of going under water.

We all got in the pool... I got a quick pic of the girls with their daddy. I don't take any of my cameras in the pool anymore; not after I dropped my 40D (my favorite camera. i miss it. *sniff*) in the pool a couple of summers ago; that's why all my pool pics are from outside the pool. The only exception is my new sports camera; Michael got it for me for my birthday. It's waterproof. I took some pics of the girls while I was in the pool with them, and recorded them as well. I might post those another time.

Here are some pics of the girls in the pool. I got these pool pics at different times, I'm just putting them all here. These were taken in late afternoon/early evening, or on cloudy days, so lighting wasn't the best. As you can see in some of the pics, Caitie got over her fear of going under water.

There was a problem with the pool pump, and while their daddy was fixing it, the girls couldn't go in the pool, so I made a 'water course' for them. I filled up different inflatables with air (with michael's help) and then filled them with water, and the girls were timed as they went around and jumped in each one. It filled the time until they could get in the pool; they had fun. It was a cloudy day.
