Breakfast on the BBQ

I've been using the barbecue to make most of our meals lately, including breakfast. It's a threefold plan: it keeps the heat out of the kitchen; easy cleanup; another excuse to be out in the beautiful fall weather. I'm really enjoying it. If you have a grill, and love to be outside this time of year, I suggest you give barbecuing a try. A cast-iron skillet is a must, and keeping it seasoned is a plus. Looky here at these chocolate chip pancakes, don't they look yummy? I do most things the easy way, and making pancakes is no exception, I use Bisquick. I only do half the recipe, which usually gives us the right amount of pancakes, without having leftovers. I haven't figured out why I don't make the full recipe and have leftover batter for the next day... hmmm... something to ponder while I go about my day. I did the eggs on the grill as well; over-easy for me and Michael, scrambled for Caitie. It was quick and easy, and oh so tasty, and I think the food even looks better when done on the grill.

Ingredients:
(go by the recipe on the bisquick box. i add more chocolate chips than are called for; caitie and i love chocolate!)

Don't forget these tasty toppers:
