Home Depot Day

We went to a Home Depot parking lot event back in April. Yes, way back in April. I'm pretty behind on blogging.

They had some karate guys there letting kids break a board by either stomping on it with their foot or by chopping it with their hand; Caitie chose to stomp on one. Surprise, surprise... it broke in half with little effort. This could have something to do with how they had already sawed a bit into each wooden piece to make it easier for the kids to do. They then handed out flyers giving information about their karate studio, etc. Well, Caitie insisted on signing up. We have yet to do so though. I'm not sure she's ready for the discipline involved in such a class. She only knows that breaking that board was really easy, and so fun. The actual class would be a bit different.

Caitie then went into a bounce house for a bit.

We then went to the building tables. Michael picked out a bird feeder for Caitie to build. She did a good job. They handed out Home Depot aprons, of which Caitie put hers on, but Bailey didn't want to put hers on.

Caitie found a good use for the apron pockets... popcorn holders. Clever gal.

Bailey wanted to build a bird feeder too.

We then went to a couple of other booths and then Caitie wanted to get her face painted. She decided on getting her arm done instead. She picked a mermaid.

The girls then played some golf. As you can see, Caitie was telling the guy in charge how it was done, and Bailey was in awe of the golf ball actually going in the hole. ha :)

We then went over to the Petco area where they had a bounce house and some dogs in cages to look at, and then headed back to the Home Depot area.

Before heading out we stopped at a SWAT team truck they had in the parking lot for people to look at.

We then stopped at Circle K to get drinks. We don't usually allow the girls to drink soda, but we did that day. They loved their Coke Icees.

I finally got Bailey to try her apron on. Look at that face... she knows she looks good in it. ha. :) The girls are holding Chick-fil-A cows they got at the event.

Fun was had by all. :)
