Something new...

for Caitie. She went to the movies for the first time last week. We wanted to take her to see Madagascar 2, but there were no late showings, so the choices we were left with were Marley & Me and Bedtime Stories. The former sounded more appealing since one of the stars of the movie was a dog; we thought the dog would keep Caitie's interest. We went on New Year's Eve, which turned into the New Year while we were there. We didn't get out of there until after 1am. If you decide to see this movie, have tissue handy near the end. I tried my hardest not to cry, but didn't succeed. If I cried, I know for sure you will; it takes a lot to make me cry. Enough about crying... we also went to Peter Piper Pizza on New Year's Eve; we went there before heading to see the movie. Caitie loves that place. There were quite a few families that thought of doing the same thing; there were kids running here and there and everywhere.

Caitie enjoying her favorite ride at Peter Piper Pizza.

Not interested in eating pizza, she wants to get back to the rides and fun.

A sweet little girl gave Caitie these glow-in-the-dark rings.

Dad and Daughter challenge. Michael is really good at this game, whenever he plays it at the fair, he ALWAYS wins. You think he would give his daughter a break and let her win a game or two, but ummm... No! ha

What better way to play? Go right up to it and make an easy 'goal'.

"That was easy; no big deal."

Then she's told how it's really done, but she throws the ball instead of rolling it.

She then demonstrates once again how it's done. It may not be the right way, but it gets the job done. ha

She likes Bob the Builder, and she loves tractors, so we knew this ride was a winner.

She also played in a mini-gym(not sure what else to call it). I don't have a pic to share of it. I went in to help Caitie climb up; she's not quite big enough yet to do some of the climbing necessary to get to the slide. I sat inside waiting for her to reappear after several times down the slide, I stay there in order to help her up each time. While waiting for her, other kids came in to climb and get to the slide; I got kicked a few times(unintentional, i'm sure. ha) from kids climbing up. There's not much space, so it's to be expected. Caitie enjoys playing with other kids while in the gym. I'm usually worn out by the time she's done playing in it. It gets hot in there! Anyway, after we left the pizza place, we headed to the movies.

We were entering the movie theater, #15.

I took a few pics while in the theater; call me obsessed. ha

Love this field scene.

Got a quick pic of the outside of the building before heading out. I took a pic of the concession stand, but it was really blurry, so didn't include it here. But we did get the full movie experience: popcorn, M&Ms, and soda, and I brought a shake for Caitie, I don't let her drink soda.
