Girl Power and The Little Red Car

Caitie picked out a model car kit at Fry's Electronics recently; us girls put it together ourselves. Well, there was a little bit of help from the man of the house, but Caitie doesn't know this; I snuck away to find out how to do a couple of things. I don't want her thinking a female has to always depend on a male to get things done, even when it's something a male would normally do. But then just that night I asked Michael 'to check if we had this and if we had that' in preparation for going grocery shopping; this was another lesson for Caitie... us girls can do most anything, but why? Let the man of the house do some of the menial tasks. You girls know what I'm talkin' about.

Building a model car that somewhat resembles Lightning McQueen from the Cars movie and eating ice cream... it doesn't get any better than this.

Caitie is putting the tires on the axle/rims.

We did make one 'male' mistake... we insisted on doing it without the directions, but that didn't last long, I finally had to refer to them.

Trying to open the car door; it was temporarily stuck. I had to take the whole car apart a few times before getting it put together right. This model car kit is made for children three and up... I just thought I'd mention that to make me look even worse.

We did it! This is the finished product. It may not be Lightning McQueen, but it is now our favorite little red car.
