It pays to be on time

I took Bailey to her four-month, well-check appointment yesterday. We were late, no surprise there, so we had to see another doctor; her doctor was booked. I think the doctor got confused, thinking we were there for Bailey's cold (yes, she has her first cold, poor thing), and just looked her over real quick and said she had an upper respiratory cold, and that was about it. I did ask if it was okay for Bailey to get her vaccinations since she had a cold, and he said it was okay as long as she didn't have a fever, which she didn't. I also asked about Bailey's measurements, if they were where they should be, and he told me, with irritation, that he had just told me what they were and that they were okay (i didn't hear him when he told me the first time), he then left the room; I didn't get to ask any questions. I wasn't too happy 'bout that. When we got home, I decided to call the doctor's office to leave a message for Bailey's doctor to call me back since I had questions that weren't answered while in the office. It's been five years since I had the same appointment with Caitie, so I wanted to be sure what all happens at this stage... I knew Bailey would be starting on cereal and jar food, but wanted to know how much of what and when, etc. Bailey's doctor called back today and let me know; he was apologetic about yesterday, even though none of it was his fault, and he said to call him any time, which I thought was nice. If yesterday's experience wasn't an incentive to be on time from now on, I don't know what is.

I put Bailey in a cute giraffe outfit I got her at Kohl's on Black Friday; I think I should have gotten her the next size up, it wasn't long enough and was a bit tight at the calf area. This brings to mind her measurements... she measured at 25 3/4" in length, and weighs a little over 13 pounds.

Here she is with band-aids on where the shots were given. If you look closely, you can see her little nose was running due to her cold.

Early last evening I decided to dress Bailey in her sleeper since it's comfortable and helps keep her warm; I think she looks good in that shade of blue, so decided to get a quick pic of her in it, and decided to include Caitie in the pic as well. As you can see here, Caitie feels for her little sister; she knows what it's like to get vaccinated. She didn't like that Bailey felt pain when given the shots.
