This pic is from Father's Day as well.

As is this one.

And yes, this one too.

In this pic Caitie was all ready to go on a field trip with her group at Summer Camp, they were going to the circus; which happened to be on my birthday. We made plans to go camping, but decided to let her go to the circus that day, and then go camping over the weekend. Well, she didn't end up going to the circus with her group, we were late getting there; we were five, maybe ten minutes late in arriving and found the doors were locked. A lady came to the door and summoned Tammy to talk with me, of which she told me since we were late, Caitie couldn't go on the field trip. I wasn't happy since we had been late before for field trips, and was told one time that I could drop Caitie off later than what was the recommended drop-off time, so I didn't give it much thought in being only five to ten minutes late. The reason she couldn't go was because they do a bus count to know the amount of kids going on the buses. I wasn't told this before, so I had no way of knowing. What I don't get is why that matters if I already signed the permission slip, of which they had in their possesion already, and knew she would be going. I understand they have to get all the kids ready to board the buses, but the last time I got Caitie there on time for a field trip, all we did was stand around and wait for the kids wanting a snack to eat and then go potty before lining up to board the buses. I stayed with her about a half hour that day; I didn't see a need to go through the same thing this time around, so was puzzled when I was told Caitie couldn't go due to being a few minutes late. Upon leaving, I noticed someone else dropping off their daughter, of which got to go in. This infuriated me, so I called Tammy and asked her what was going on, she said the girl had the wrong shoes on and was told she could go home and change and come back with the right shoes on. Caitie was just a few minutes late, but she was dressed correctly, I think she should have been allowed to go. I was one unhappy parent, let me tell ya. Tammy suggested I call someone at the main office to see if I could get around it, but that didn't work out since there was no answer. Caitie didn't seem to mind not being able to go, she didn't cry or say anything negative, but I, on the other hand, was practically in tears; I didn't want her to miss out. Who's the child here? hmmm... ha On the way to the SUV I told Caitie her daddy and I would take her to the circus. We ended up going that night. We had a good time, and I was actually glad Caitie missed the field trip; we all enjoyed the circus as a family, even Bailey.

Since Caitie couldn't go on the field trip, I decided we should take her to the Bear Factory to have a stuffed animal made. She loves that place! Here she is with the animal she chose, a cat she named Wendelen. As you can see, I changed her shirt; I didn't want a reminder of how she wasn't on the field trip with her group.

Then that evening we headed to the circus. I got a quick pic of my girls with their daddy before we headed into the arena. I used my point and shoot camera for all circus pics. They didn't come out all that great, but decided to include a few here anyway.

I didn't take many pics due to it being so dark, and the ones I did take came out dark and grainy. Here are some elephants doing their thing.

This was the 'finale'. The circus wasn't too bad. That's saying a lot since Michael and I both can't stand the circus. We were thinking Caitie would get her first, and maybe last (depending if she liked it or not) circus experience through Summer Camp, but we're glad we went as a family.

We got a great parking space, right outside the arena, in the exact area of our seats. We figured all the parking areas would cost the same, which was $10, so decided to take this one since it was so close and some spaces were still available. We're glad we did. I got a quick pic of our parking area before heading home.

We didn't end up going camping; Caitie came down with a cold that same night, and now we all have one. We're hoping to go on a camping trip sometime this summer.
