Wacky Weather
There was a heatwave a week ago Monday, then it rained last Friday, not the kind of warm rain you run through while having happy thoughts, but a cold rain, where jackets were required for youngsters to be able to play outdoors. I prefer the latter myself, so let's all hope for more strange, wet weather here in the valley of the sun, shall we? I don't look forward to seeing the mercury rising on the cute birdhouse thermometer that hangs on the front porch, where there sits beautiful potted blooming flowers in a myriad of colors, and there's a white glider with green and white checkered pillows overlooking the old oak tree in the front yard bordered by a white picket fence... Wait a minute, what am I saying? I don't have one of those birdhouse thermometers, how silly of me. Sound a bit wacky to you? That's how the weather has been for us here lately... wacky, but nice. I wish I had such a porch with the nice view. I hope you grasped this post; I'm not so sure I did. Who writes this stuff anyway?
Here are some pics of Caitie from last Friday enjoying the strange, but desired weather...Jumping over puddles.
Jumping into the wet grass.
A pic thrown in just for the 'cuteness' value.
Showing off her muddy shoes.
Should these be bronzed?
She didn't want to neglect her outfit, it had to be 'muddied' as well. Oh the joys of being a mother and doing laundry. ha
I don't know why, but she reminds me of a 'warrior', or whatever they're called, in the Star Wars movies. Maybe it's the way she's dressed and how she looks like she defeated that palm tree leaf in some kind of battle. Remember... this is a 'strange' post... and it continues... ha
She then returns to fight the palm tree leaf off once again... but it looks like it's too much for her this time... dratz.
She was stripped down after her play in the rain and mud. She was inspired to play a tune on the piano; I believe it was 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head'.
