Change of Seasons

I just happened to turn on the Disney movie Tinkerbell just now for Caitie; it explains the change of seasons happening due to little fairies fluttering around waving their silly wands and making everything bloom, etc. Cute movie, I guess; I like the animation and brilliant colors, but that's about it. Well, Caitie does look a little like Tinkerbell(see above), so the movie scores another star, or is it more like pixie dust in this case? hmmm... Anyhoo... What came to mind after seeing the start of this movie, which brought the changing of seasons to mind, and tomorrow being the first day of spring, was the following Bible verses:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war and a time of peace."

No matter how bleak things may look at the moment due to the current recession and failing economy, which means bailouts and coverups of government corruption, is that this is just a 'season', the bitter cold of winter will eventually turn into the warmth and brilliance of colors of springtime. Each season lasts a while, sometimes a little longer than expected, depending on where you live, but the seasons eventually do change. Let's pray and be positive during this time of winter, which is lasting a little longer than expected this time around; the groundhog has cast its shadow, but you can be assured that springtime is just around the corner. A rather lengthy corner, I may add, but that corner really is there, it's not a mirage. Let's keep the faith.
