We had our annual jack-o'-lantern night. We didn't go to the usual pumpkin patch this time, I actually didn't follow tradition *gasp* but we still had a good time. However, we did continue our Fry's Marketplace tradition... we got some nice pumpkins and some halloween candy, then headed home to carve jack-o'-lanterns and pig out on the huge bag of halloween chocolate candy; the latter was more my thing. Here's Caitie in her makeshift pumpkin patch in the Fry's produce area; we go all out, really we do. Lovin' all the orange?

Kinda looks like we're at a pumpkin patch, right? Right?!? I will not feel guilty about not visiting the pumpkin patch... I will not feel guilty about not visiting the pumkin patch... I will not feel guilty about not visiting the pumpkin patch... *searching for my therapist's phone number*

Gotta love Spiderman.

Is that the cutest pumpkin face you've ever seen? Talented gal.

There was silence during the pumpkin carving; it's an art.

We always do a traditional jack-o'-lantern, which is nice, but since we got two pumpkins this time, I wanted one of them to be a tad different. I suggested this one resemble Mater from the Cars movie. Caitie's not the only one hooked on that movie.

I take a pic of Caitie in this same pose each year; the pics show how she's changed over the years(that sounds like a long time, doesn't it?) This makes the fourth pic; I started the year after she was born.

Ta-da! Introducing Mater(on the left), and, well, we never named the other one, but ain't he a cutie? Let's just call him Jack #4. Oh, and... that's my girl there in the middle, just in case you were wonderin'. Still lovin' the orange?

The S p o o k y ... or goofy, really, glowing jack-o'-lantern pic. See a toothpick? That's supposed to be there, Mater likes to pick his teeth, the two that he's got. Actually, the left tooth was cut into accidentally, so a toothpick fix was necessary; it was quick thinkin' on Michael's part. He'd make a good jack-o'-lantern dentist, don't you think? It's early y'all... bear with me here.

And for the finale... the usual fall/jack-o'-lantern decor on the kitchen counter pic, with the addition of black plastic with blue tape in the background for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoyed all the orange... now go have some freshly squeezed orange juice with some pumpkin pie; I bet that's been on your mind ever since you started this post... or not.
