I had to time this just right. Someone pulls the cord and the flames shoot up, which lights up the balloon, this happens periodically, so I had to wait a bit to get this shot.

This bumble bee balloon was being taken down...

but as you can see here, there was another one just around the corner; it looked like it was attacking the crowd gathered 'round to watch one of the many live bands playing that night.

We had to get some kettle korn; so yummy. Michael got the 3-footer; there was many a comment on how we would be able to finish such a large bag of the stuff so late into the night. We did a pretty good job of it though... at least half the bag was gone before we left. Here is Caitie munchin' on some.

One of the main reasons for going was to let Caitie play in the kiddie area, where there are bounce houses to jump around in, and inflatable obstacle courses with slides, a bear ride, etc. but as usual, we were late getting to that area, when we arrived they had just closed. But I insisted Caitie get to go on at least one thing, so I asked Michael if he would ask an attendant if we could just pay cash instead of giving a ticket(s), that were no longer available since they were closed, and one of them took the cash, so Caitie got to go on the inflatable obstacle course and slide you see in the pic below. You can see that it was being deflated when I took this pic, I took it as soon as Caitie got off of it. She and a little boy were the last ones on it; the little boy helped her climb up to the slide. Even though we didn't stay long at Glendale Glitters this year, it was still nice to experience it, as we try to do every year; it's tradition.
