We took a quick trip up to the Mogollon Rim on Monday. We missed all the holiday traffic by going up the day everyone else was going home. We didn't get there until dusk, which means lousy lighting for pics. I took several pics, but most of them aren't worth sharing, but I did include this one pic; it's not a good one, but it's better than not sharing any pics at all, I guess. (how many times can a person mention pics in a sentence? geesh) I didn't even take this pic, it was done by self-timer; the camera was set up to take a pic of all of us, and this pic of Caitie was a 'test pic' to give us an idea of where everyone would stand. (there's that word again; one would think i'm obsessed with the word 'pic'.) This is Caitie near our favorite spot at Woods Canyon Lake. There was a lot of feeding and diaper changing along the way to the Rim, which made me decide to not take an upcoming trip to Disneyland. We planned on going the beginning of November, but I think after a two to three hour road trip going to Payson/Woods Canyon Lake with a new baby changed my mind about that. I have a feeling I would mostly be doing feedings and changing diapers on the trip, and the road trip to Disneyland would be around ten hours one way, actually, more than that since there would be more stops along the way for... you guessed it... feedings and diaper changes. For Bailey and I it would be more like a trip to a hotel than to Disneyland; I would be going to the room every couple of hours for... you know... feedings and diaper changes. We plan to go there next spring. Anyway, back to the Payson/Lake trip... we spent maybe an hour, a little more, at the Lake, then we returned to Payson where we stopped at our favorite store... Wal-Mart. We got some clothes for the girls and picked up dinner to eat on the way home. It was a quick trip, but we all enjoyed it. It was nice getting away from the heat here in Phoenix, even if it was only for a short while.
