Goldilocks & The Three Geddes Bears
Once upon a time there were three Geddes bears, all three were cute, one was blue-eyed and fair. Goldilocks came along and... well, you know the story... except for the Geddes part; you're probably wondering how that fits in to the story... well, here's the deal... Michael went to a Microsoft Certification course that was held in Los Angeles back in November, he was there for a week... not the typical five-day work week, that's not what I'm talkin' about here... it was a full seven-day week, you know... one, two ,three, four, five, six and SEVEN WHOLE DAYS! Not that I was counting or anything. It seemed more like an eternity, a lifetime a month. This was due to Bailey having her first cold, which she came down with the day he left for LA, and Caitie being her 'I love to drive mama crazy' self. I didn't get much sleep that week due to staying up most nights with Bailey sleeping against me as I sat up in bed; she had a stuffy nose and I wanted to make sure she could breathe easy. I had the 'usual frustrations' with Caitie... her not wanting showers before bed, not eating enough, etc., but with Michael being away, and Bailey having a cold, and my not getting much sleep, those things seemed a bit more stressful than usual. There was also my having to play 'dog' every night (this is her daddy's thing; he plays the part well). Let's just say that I became a barking zombie. You can start playing the violin anytime now. But then daddy came home and all was well... especially since he brought us all some goodies. On his way out of LA, before heading home, he stopped by downtown Disney to look around for gifts for his girls back home. He went to one of my favorite stores... the Ann Geddes shop. He got Caitie a dark brown bear baby, he got me a caramel colored bear baby and he got Bailey a bear baby outfit that matched the color of my bear baby. He also got Caitie a Bolt (from the disney movie) stuffed animal; she was ecstatic, she loves Bolt. The gifts almost made up for his absence during the week... almost. Oh, and just in case you're wondering... Michael passed the course, which is extremely hard, it's like taking a six month course but doing it in a week's time, and he is now certified.
I took a few pics of my bear baby and my golden-haired girl...
The bear hat fit snug on Bailey's head, so it isn't positioned as it should be, and I think the ears should be bigger, you can hardly see them, but she still looks cute and cuddly.
Bailey fell asleep during the photo shoot, which wasn't surprising since she was in a warm, soft outfit, laying on a nice soft blanket... and it being her naptime was another reason; the latter not bringing about that 'ahhhhh feeling', but there ya have it.
Here's where the post title comes in...
