Or was, in this case. I'm referring to the Glendale Chocolate Affaire that we went to last weekend; on Saturday, to be exact. It's held every year at the same place as Glendale Glitters, which is in downtown Glendale. I've been meaning to go the last few years, but never got around to it until now. It's a "chocoholics paradise" as it was so phrased on the event info site. I expected it to be filled with booths and booths of free samples of chocolates of all delights... dark, milk, white... chocolates of every kind, filled with nuts, caramel, fruit, nougat, peanut butter, squash, cheese, broccoli, pretty much everything including the kitchen sink... I don't care, just as long as it's covered in chocolate. I'm a serotonin addict, yep, that's me. Chocolate is a great serotonin booster, in case you were wondering, which is a feel-good hormone, or somethin' like that. All I know is that I need it, which I think most, if not all, females do, which is why mostly females are chocoholics; not that you wanted or needed to know that, but there it is. Moving on now... it's held around the same time every year because of that holiday called Valentine's Day. Good timing, I say. After all this ...
There were rides at this event, just as there were rides at Glendale Glitters. Caitie couldn't pass up the teacup ride; it reminded us of Disneyland. Caitie and her daddy are in the green one. Michael went crazy with the spinning around, as usual; Caitie didn't mind, she's all for speed and gettin' dizzy. The latter I get from just standing. Just thought I'd throw that in there; I'm sure you're glad I did.

Caitie and I went on the very calm, zen-like plane ride. I'm into 'zen things' right now; I haven't a clue why. Maybe it's because I get dizzy from just standing? I haven't a clue what that means. Let's move on to the next picture, shall we?

Caitie and her daddy went on the super steep, super scary slide again (they went on this at glendale glitters as well). I'm sure Michael would have found a way to spin them around if it had been allowed.

There they are again, in the blue teacup this time. The main reason for this pic is to show you that Bailey was there with us. She's lookin' around for the chocolate formula booth.

After going on a few rides we headed to the main event... the Cerretas Candy Store. I didn't know it would be such a lengthy walk. See that white building up ahead on the right? Yeah, me neither... it's so far up there that it's not there, if you know what I mean. If you don't know what I mean, don't worry, it's not just you, I don't know what I mean either; that happens to me all the time, that and the dizziness, and such. Aren't you glad you stopped by to read this post? um, yeah...

We got in this long line to tour the Cerreta candy factory.

This peppermint covered chocolate candy, cookie, wafer... whatever it is, was my favorite. Yum!

Picking out some tasty treats. We actually got some that weren't chocolate... *gasp* I know... shocking, isn't it. I allowed it as long as the non-chocolate candy didn't take up room for the

Here is the tasty loot.

I noticed a sign saying there were chocolate covered jalapenos for sale. We had to give them a try. This is the 'manly candy'... so called because there's sweet and heat; heat being the key word here. Lame, I know, but I couldn't resist the rhyme. They were selling them outside the store, in the parking lot. Michael tried one; he said it was okay. I never did try mine.

Who could resist this sweet face? How could I say no to her? How could I not share a female's greatest desire... chocolate... with her?
...
...
Yep, you got me on this one, kiddo. Who could resist such a cute expression? So I let her try a bit of melted chocolate...

And this is the reaction I got... so much for the 'females gotta have chocolate' theory.
