A Pleasant Day
I had a pleasant mother's day. We had the traditional Dunkin' Donuts, and spent some relaxing time together before heading to Lake Pleasant to enjoy the beautiful weather. I received wonderful Mother's Day gifts. Caitie made several drawings for me, she also made a necklace that has 'mama' on it and a bracelet that has 'mama' and 'Caitie' on it, she also gave me a craft project she made in school that has pretty flowers on it with a Hershey's candy bar inside. I love everything she gave me, especially since they were made with her own hands and came from the heart. :) She also gave me a stuffed animal frog, but it was really a 'regift' that I had gotten for Valentine's Day; she wrapped it herself, which is what made it special. Michael got me a few things as well, they were from both the girls... a Nook Color from Barnes & Noble, a Brian Regan DVD, a really cute card, and flowers, of course. He always makes it special. I'm trying to decide whether to keep the Nook he got me or take it back and wait for the new, updated Nook, which will possibly be released on May 24th. The Brian Regan DVD he chose to get me is my all-time favorite from the Brian Regan collection; I love it. If you ever decide to get one of his DVDs, I would advise you to start with this one, which is the 'I Walked on the Moon' DVD; so funny! I was in tears from laughing so hard.I made a Mother's Day picture collage that includes a few of the pics I took that day. As you can see in some pics, we also got some video. Michael got a new video camera recently, mainly to use to convert old Super 8 home movies to digital format that can be played on computers or put on DVD; they can be edited as well. He's doing this at the request of some of his family members.
