My 'cool kid'(so cute in the 'shades') and I heading to the park.

We arrived at the park around 12:30pm, and boy was it hot and humid! I had sweat rolling down my flabby rolls of skin(have i mentioned how i've gained weight recently? ha) as soon as I exited the SUV. Caitie became flushed after being on a swing for a couple of minutes, but we were determined to stay a while. I didn't have to coax Caitie into leaving this time, she was good and ready after having been on the swings a while, having done some climbing, sliding down the slides, and after seeing me crawl instead of walk, with my tongue hanging out, to the other section of the play area.
Caitie: "You OK, mama?"
Me: *sputtering spit* (that's all i could manage at that point)
Caitie: "You hot?"
Me: *dazed look*
Caitie: "Go home?"
Me: *feeling grateful for having such an observant daughter*
I love my observant child. :)
Did I mention that it was hot?

There's nothing quite like an ice cold, orange-flavored, popsicle on a hot summer's day(other than the ice cream sandwich i mentioned in a previous post. ha).

Caitie wanted some marbles after seeing some on a Little Bear episode. I'm beginning to think Little Bear is more of an influence on my child than I am. Maybe that's a good thing? ha
