Don't worry, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, this is what I saw when I took the pic. I was laying on the ground shooting upward.

I was planning to put my fireworks pics under their own post. Take a look at the pic below and you'll see why that didn't happen. I have a lot to learn when it comes to getting a decent fireworks pic. The wind didn't help, but I must say... it was a gorgeous evening! It got cloudy in the late afternoon, and windy too, which was really nice; it cooled down to the 90's. Yep, I'll say it again... it was a gorgeous evening!
Caitie enjoyed the fireworks as well as the cool wind that was blowing the whole time.
