I didn't forget about Michael's birthday, it was just low-key this year, as were most things in December. We didn't do a whole lot, but Michael did finally get his projector(this was his anniversary/birthday/Christmas combination gift this year). This was after having bought three projectors to try out at home before making his final decision on the BenQ model, seen in the pic below. We did get take-out from the Olive Garden on his birthday, which we ate while watching a movie on the new projector. This was while he was still testing between the three projectors.
We're in the living room, which is also called the movie room. There's a huge movie screen on the opposite wall. It works OK as a movie room, but we're hoping to find or design a new house that will include an actual movie/media room. We're still wanting to move. As you can see, the room is a bit 'busy', with several of Caitie's toys(they're scattered all through the house), our dinner plates from the Olive Garden on her play chairs next to the couch, a blanket on the couch, and the electronic stuff along with the movie projector. Just out of sight is the piano... it's a very busy room. And yes, it's driving me crazy! But that's how it is when you have a four-year-old and a 40+ year old that thinks of movie/electronics as a toddler does toys... it's quite chaotic. Me, well, I'm perfect. I don't have much 'stuff' and never leave a mess... ummm... yeah... uhhh... right... NOT! We're all messy. We need to hire an organizer; that's the thing to do these days, it seems. Anyway, all this to say... lookie here at Michael's new projector... (it will eventually replace the existing wall-mounted projector, not visible in this pic. the new projector is currently sitting in a test area as seen below. more on this in a future post)
