O Sassy-Sass

Meet Sassy. She was my dad's cat. Caitie enjoyed playing with Sassy when visiting with her Gramps. Upon my dad's passing, we decided to bring Sassy to live at our house. We weren't sure how she would get along with our other two cats, Holly and Molly, all three are female. It started out a bit rough, but Sassy is adjusting quite nicely, Holly and Molly, on the other hand, are still trying to adjust. Holly is the worst, she hisses at Sassy, but Molly is starting to come around. Sassy was staying in the downstairs bathroom pretty much 24/7 when we first brought her home, but she is now coming out and starting to explore a bit, and tries to engage Molly in a chasing game. I think over time all three will be able to coexist in the same space(crossing my fingers and toes and anything else i can think of).

When we first brought Sassy home, we put her in the family room; she would jump on the couch and get as close to anyone who happened to be sitting there at the time. She would eventually burrow her way behind the person sitting there and would disappear underneath the couch cushions. We were amazed she was able to fit in there. Here she is beside Caitie; it was snack time while watching a cartoon. Caitie made up a song for Sassy, it's called 'O Sassy-Sass'. I've tried to record her singing it, but she clams up every time; she'll sing it with no camera around, the little bugger. She sings it to Sassy to help calm her down and coax her out of the bathroom.

Such a sweet and pretty kitty...
