plenty of vehicles to bid on, and some farming equipment as well, including tractors. The vehicles included work trucks and vans, cherry-pickers, a couple of cars, a few classics, and a couple of big rigs. The latter is what drew our interest. We fell in love with a big yellow truck(rig). We also took an interest in the maroon rig parked next to it, but the yellow one stole our hearts. That was a bit melodramatic, wasn't it? But you get the idea. I, in this time of financial crisis, gave my OK for Michael to bid on it, and what did he do? He started sweating, and thinking too much, and didn't bid on it, and ended up losing the big yellow truck to someone that bid a mere $2,300. Our limit was $3,500, with the possibility of going as high as $5,000. I repeat...it went for $2,300... ummm... that was UNDER the limit I agreed to. Michael has been kicking himself ever since. I even kicked him a couple of times(kidding). I must confess... I'm glad he does have restraint when it comes to spending a large amount of money. Even though we ended up truckless, we enjoyed the auction, especially Caitie. She had fun playing on the tractors and sitting in the cabs of the big rigs, and playing in the rocks. Some of the guys were commenting on the 'little trucker girl' after seeing her at the steering wheel in the big rigs. I hope we do it again sometime, and actually place a bid the next time. ha Sorry, Michael, it just had to be said, and oh yeah... *kick* ha :)Tractor gal.

Here are the two big rigs. The yellow one on the right is the one we were interested in bidding on.

The computer age... it's gotten to where you can't leave home without one. This is a mini-laptop; it's lightweight and portable. Michael was looking up similar rigs to see what they go for, so we would have an idea of how high to bid. If you've read this far, you're probably wondering why in the world we were wanting to bid on a big rig... well, one reason, really... it would be fun to have one, especially on our property up north. Michael's cousin has several work trucks, tractors, etc., on the property, of which are used to do things on the property, and the kids play on them as well, and even drive them. The big yellow truck was an automatic, which caught my eye; I'm not so good with a stick-shift, and that's all I'm gonna say on that subject. ha

Here is the auctioneer. A tractor was having to pull the truck with the auctioneer booth. Michael said they usually have the truck running and there is no need for it to be pulled by a tractor, but I guess the truck wouldn't start and had to be pulled along this time. The auctioneer truck moves along each aisle and people gather at the vehicle, or item, they're interested in, to place their bids.

Here we are, waiting to bid on the big yellow truck. I was getting excited... the adrenaline was pumpin', I couldn't wait for my man to raise his arm, with his bid number in hand, and place a bid... but it didn't happen. I kept waiting, wondering when I would see him raise his hand... I waited, and then before I knew it, it was over. It all happened so fast. The yellow truck belonged to someone else. (between you and me, i'm glad! but don't tell Michael i told you that)

Just walkin' around, trying to figure out what happened... why we had let the big yellow truck go.

Now, now, Caitie, loosin' up on daddy's neck, there will be other big rigs. ha

Bye, bye, big yellow truck. *sniff*
