is always fun. We carved pumpkins the last two years, and again this year, so it is now tradition. Caitie looked so cute dressed in her boo-halloween outfit, which is a skirt and top, and I even put pumpkin barrettes in her hair to match the occasion... we go all out. ha While Michael was getting the table all set up for the pumpkin carving, I clicked a button on the 'popcorn hour'(this is the contraption i mentioned in a previous post) remote to get "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" DVD goin' in the background to help set the mood. It created a bit of a problem though... Caitie couldn't decide what she wanted to do more, watch the DVD or help carve the pumpkin, so she went back and forth. Last year and the year before, we didn't watch the DVD until after the pumpkin carving was done, and even then, Caitie didn't care much for the DVD, but she did this year! Here are a few pics from this evening...The gooey innards... yuck! Caitie couldn't stand to touch the sticky stuff this time.

She's trying to watch the Charlie Brown DVD.

I take her pic in this same pose with the jack-o'-lantern each year. It shows how much she's changed. These two pics are from this evening:

Cat-fearing jack-o'-lantern.

Caitie imitating mama. She wanted to play with my Canon 40D, but as you can see, she didn't get her way, but I did let her play with my Canon Powershot camera, which she takes pics with on occasion, and is used to handling. She does a good job.

Enjoying the Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin DVD.

I put fall decor out the same night we do the pumpkin carving. My scarecrow collection is growing, much to Michael's dismay(dollarwise. ha).

This pic was taken after she ate her tenth handful of candy corn; she loves that stuff! What you don't see is me doing the same thing after having my tenth handful of mini-snickers bars. And Michael, well, he just stays out of the way. ha
