We went to the petting zoo, rode the little kiddie rides, ate a BIG turkey leg, and ate lots of other junk, uh, I mean, Fair food as well, which included churros, cotton candy(i hadn't had this in ages. YUM!), and sno cones. I made sure Michael played at least one game before leaving, I wanted to make sure Caitie left with at least one stuffed animal. We picked a game we knew Michael could win at; he won several stuffed animals for me in the past playing the water gun game(not sure of the correct name of the game). You compete against other people to see who can raise a stuffed animal up a pole the fastest by shooting at a target with a water gun. Michael ALWAYS wins at this game. So Caitie left happily with a doggy in her arms. :) We enjoyed our time at the Fair; the cooler weather made it even more enjoyable.Enjoying her favorite ride, the carousel.

We spent a while at the petting zoo; Caitie loves animals. I'm drawn to giraffes for some reason; I guess because they're tall. I always like getting pics of them. Next to this giraffe was a big camel. He didn't have any room to move around, he was laying down, and looked really sad, which made me want to cry. I felt sorry for the camel. I don't like animals being in cages, I think they should all be free. It's not easy to go to the zoo, and the fair, and see caged animals, but I do it because I know Caitie likes to see them.

We went on this ferris wheel a couple of times. Caitie loved it.

As soon as Caitie saw this slide, she wanted to go down it. We all went down together. I took this pic before we all took off down the long and curvy slide.

This is the 'people lift', or whatever it's called; I'm not good at remembering the names of rides. As soon as we walked through the gate and on to the fairgrounds, Caitie looked up and saw these and wanted to go on one. We didn't go on it right away, but did eventually. Michael knows I'm afraid of heights, and as soon as we sat down and took off on one of these, he told me it was probably worse than the ferris wheel, since it was more likely to move with the breeze, and it being so open would make it seem like nothing was supporting me. It wasn't long after he told me that that I started to feel dizzy, and then I started to panic. I ended up having a panic attack halfway through the ride. I didn't let it show, but my palms were sweaty and my heart was racing. I made it through OK and was so glad we had decided to go only one way on it instead of going round-trip.

I took a few pics while on the 'people lift' ride. I thought they would be blurry, but this one and a few others came out OK.

Here's one I took of the carousel. It didn't come out too bad considering I was about to pass out when I took it. ha

This reminds me of the old Phoenix Suns days. This is where they used to play before America West Arena was built(or as it is now known, the US Airways Center). Oh, the memories...

This is a kiddie train ride. Caitie loved it. It's really colorful.

Michael is showing Caitie the dog he won for her. This completed our visit to the Fair.
